I’m happy to link up to Kaja’s Sew Slowly blog. She is coordinating a monthly link-up for people making improv quilts. She asked if she could use one of my quilts in an inspiration blog post about improv quilts.
This is one of my favorite improv quilts, so I was happy to share it with her. I made it in 2012. It’s 34 x 34 inches. It was accepted into the 2013 QuiltCon show, and I sold it in 2013 through my Etsy shop. It was fun to think about it again.
Today, I’m linking up with these blogs – click on the links below, where you’ll find many other creative projects to inspire you.
I haven’t seen this before. It’s gorgeous. Nicely balanced and great colours. Reminds me of Cindy Grisdela’s work that I also love.
Really beautiful and inspiring! Thanks for sharing!
I don’t remember this one either I LOVE it . Thanks for sharing again. Glenda
I remember this one Terry. It’s one of my favorites…but then all your quilts are among my favorites. I love your work. : )
I love this because you seem to have all the little details right: the colours, the stripy strips, the little bits pieces in the outermost border and the way you use white to pull it all together.
Love this quilt, the wonky with the straight, love.
Yes! it does inpire one. I haven’t done a quilt in almost 2 years now, but am loving looking at them!
It’s a great quilt. Makes me want to go play in my sewing room.
