A few months ago, I sent away for a fabric kit for the Canadian Quilters‘ Trend-Tex Challenge. Since then, I’ve been mulling over how to best use the fabrics. I decided to continue with my current fascination with circles, and designed this quilt.
After it’s been quilted and bound, I’ll use the remaining fabrics to make an improv-style quilt. I’ll have to work quickly because the quilts have to arrive in Ontario by March 22nd.
Thanks for stopping by. I’m linking up with these blogs for WiP Wednesday. Do go and have a look at other fantastic quilts and check out the projects they’re working on.
love the movement in your piece! Nothing like a deadline, is there?
I love the geometric design of the fabric but I really love the design you came up with in the circle to break it up! Love it!
Cool design.
This is the neatest thing!!!
I just did my first binding on a round….not sure I will ever be ready to try to sew circles.
Your block is cool.
Beautiful work… how big is this quilt?? Love the colors and the design! Well done!
Good question – it’s 19 x 19 inches. Generally my quilts are bigger, but I only had a fat quarter of each fabric, so that restricted the size.
oh love that!
This looks fabulous!!
Beautiful! I love circles and the fabrics really keep your eyes moving!
WOW that is some art quilt. Very very exciting. A cleaver cleaver use of the geometric fabric, Now I need to go back and look through your blog as I’m sure it will be very exciting. Thanks for sharing and motivating me.Cheers Glenda Australia.
